After deleting the app and reinstalling it, the app works like new. Love the fact that the maps are installed which then doesnt need service to process the app.

Use it a lot in alaska very accurate. With my iPhone five doesnt require connectivity. New update requires you to delete app and re-download to make work. Didnt work again until I did.

Crashes instantly now. Unacceptable for an app this expensive. Used to work great before IOS 10. Glitchy at first with IOS 10, then un-usable after update.

Upon installing the latest Update from the App Store, the app became completely unusable. Garmin tech support said to delete and reinstall the app. After following their instructions the app now works, BUT I lost over 7 years of my saved favorite locations. As a regular business traveler who heavily relied on that information, I find this lack of QA from the Garmin App Team completely irresponsible. Will be moving over to google since I have to start over

Get your act together Garmen! With the slow Internet in our area this deletion and reinstallation will take about eight hours for such a large file! Not everyone has that kind of time...

Update asap! Who QA tested this?! 11/1/2016: as others tried, I deleted and reinstalled and now it works fine. Very bad that it requires a fresh install without telling people. Supposedly app was improved to not require this so obviously no testing was done for the 10/29/16 update for existing installs.

There update is fine you just have to use it right! 1) if you want your favorites saved iCloud has to be turned on under general in the Garmin app settings 2) after updating the app, delete it and re install it 3) if you cant find app go to purchases it will be there Dont write negative reviews unless you know what your talking about idiots!!!!

I deleted and downloaded the app and now it doesnt crash, but it says it cant calulate the route. Garmin WAKE UP!!!

This has always been a great app but this release, horrible, bad on startup and when you try to switch to the active window it disappears, or mine minimizes useless :-( Going to try other reviews suggestion to delete and reload, hopefully that works

The new update will not boot on my iPhone 6, with latest iOS. Please fix!

After update had to erase and download again. App still not working correctly. Extras are not showing up or unable to download.

Waited and waited for the latest upgrade. Finally released. You MUST delete the old app first and completely reinstall. After that it seems to work well. Take note of the iOS required levels. Three stars due to requiring later iOS and not the older iOS.

What happened with Garmins QA of this app? After iOS 10 update its no longer stays open. Garmin, fix it!!!!!

So many things fixed: -glympse works -choosing address from contacts works -nicer maps -better search For offline navigation, this app is hard to beat

When I updated the application on IOS 10, it would not run. I uninstalled, reinstalled it application, and reinstalled the maps. Now, the application runs, but it frequently crashes. It is not reusable. Also, when I attempt to set my home location, the app seems to accept the change, but the home location is not modified; when I click on the go home icon, it asks me to enter a home location again. Very disappointing.

The new v2.11.1 works really well with iOS 10.1.1

The last two updates broke the app. Had to turn off the iPhone (simultaneously hold down the power and menu buttons) to restore the app. Merely turning off the app didnt have any effect. After the iPhone turns back on, the app is the best navigator you can find. Even better than a dedicated GPS and definitely better than an OEM automotive navigator. Should not have to reset the iPhone after updating, but if thats what is required to make the app work, Ill do it. (iPhone 6, iOS 10.1.1)

The development team need to read the comments section as the link for app support gets main page of Garmin website!!! Hundreds of users have complained about the requirements to re-download over 2G of map data!!! Whats been the response? Complete silence. To apple: need to disqualify this app until this basic requirement is fixed!!
